Ya , this week just sucks goats... So much wated time in running around and getting some legal crap done ... And on top im just tired of chasing customers who dont pay . I guess no more "pay when its done ". I got bills to pay too ppl hahah. Anyways The GodFather project is going well, rear fender done, Fransmobile got tailgate , door painted and few helmets are back with happy owners haha.

Alright , took longer than expected , i wanted to be right on the money with Brian requirements and got lucky to pull it off. Owner was super happy with the end result of this project ! And thats the most important part of the job for me. Nothing feels better than seeing excitement in customer eyes

the busy part never ends….
Past week and current week my but was sucked into prep work on 2 totally different projects. One is on temp hold. Second one ,beautiful 09 harley gonna get some fresh artwork today. Very time consuming project. Cant wait to see it done!! and in mean time i did few extra tiny paintings. So u know i didnt get boooorrrreeeddd lol.
idea for the low cost print
Got some butterfly brushes and just didnt know what to do with them haha. Few days ago i did face sketch for the glowing skull project on my pad. But just had to change it to go with the happy butterflies:) Its just rendering in progress, more an idea for later, but so relaxing just to play around ( i know no time for playing )

I have to keep reminding myself to always bring the camera on the last day of projects . Its nice to document the work. few recent jobs
On the roll with sketches…
Few days ago i run across of ArtRage drawing software. It works fantastic!!!I need to update my tablet im still using Wacom Artpad 2 , which is like 10 years old hahaha.O well we get the new one some day.
Anyways here is few rough sketches i did. The drawings are actual request and might be used in future project. Its skull ,demon themed quickies. But its fun to draw with ArtRage !!!haha. Plus saving big time on pencils and paper. GO GREEN!!!
busy busy busy
Been busy with bunch of crazy small and big projects, mostly not worth documenting. some pinstriping restoration ,some fender bender crap, some small artwork. It was crazy azz month. I did cool scooter repaint . I received it completely trashed .someone brushed and rolled enamel paint all over it and tried to fix it with paint remover!!!! I painted with stage marble effect to give some texture and cherry candy.Lots of work. Wheels, front and rear suspension, all the plastic panels had to be completely sanded ,blasted, scraped before i could even think on shooting primer. almost 3 weeks from day zero to delivery. Glad is done and glad owner is super happy:)
I found couple hours to paint Jim Morrison for the friend in town.
Fresh paint on Hayabusa
From all the jobs done in last 2 weeks this one is worth of posting.Its a full custom paint job, candy, pearls,graphic and custom chrome by Roncos. Josh shoot all the chrome and i went over with purple candy on the wheels.Color Chrome is way to go, looks badazz. I shoot silver medium metallic for the base, then candys then bunch of other zhit and clear on the end. We all were working on tight schedule and thank God no one run to any troubles. Everything done on time.

HOTTTTT!!!
Been pretty damn hot in past 2 weeks. Its almost 6pm and 97F inside the shop.Gotta be carefull with the paints !! They dont like to be that hot Didn’t do mush airbrush work lately, been busy with wiring job on some old street rod, some collision work for friends , some goofy tiny jobs ,didn’t even bother taking pixes:) I had ’10 Camaro for stripes and mustang. I was really happy the way Camaro turned out. slick, good “stealthy
” color combo:) O yeah Rick when u gonna pick up this damn rc car body!!!!!!
Josh Impala
Here is another quick one . Josh ,guy who owns the ride , recently shoot fresh coat over his ride and was looking for some small skull like artwork on the front and something to accent the trunk. Quick fun project. Josh shoot the clear in his body shop, i guess new Sata gun got him quiet motivated , was 1Am when dude was still messing with his car lol .
Chrome and custom paint
This is the quickie i painted for Ronco Customs here in town. They did chrome work on it and I just airbrushed artwork and shoot the clear. I thought would be cool to make short speedmovie of it. At some point camera went south on me and lost few minutes here and there . Anyway it was fun little project !! Short video and few pictures:)
KZ 900 Restoration project —–DONE!!!
Ok , this is the old story!!!!( if brows this blog way back to last year u can see some progress) This bike been sitting and patiently waiting to be finished. Yeap got the sucker done. Paint, pipes, spokes, frame, polishing,and bunch of little items all restored. So here it is ,few shots of finished bike. Basecoat and 2tone stripe was painted with Spies Hecker Paints. This is when i got sucked into their paints. Great stuff. Anyways how many kz after over 30 years looks like this one !!! lol hahahaha.
Another set of custom Painted rims
This rims were originally light charcoal metallic ,overall in decent shape. Owner was leading toward black color with some graphic to pop. So why not to make something that look black from few feet away and pop on you with red candy from close distance .Clercoat reflection on top of the candy color makes it really unique. Anyway few shots of painted wheels. You can see very thin pinstripe line on the spoke edges, its actually filed down spoke edge with light kandy red coat.

Alright , Monday was just big suck time,at least morning. Weekend was just too much fun and price was paid on Monday morning. Gee took me like 2 hours just to catch the grove. I got 2 cars to work on and few little tiny jobs. Thought would be good idea to warm up before jumping on the serious stuff… So i got “Happy Xbox” done ready for clear , customer is picking it up on Wednesday. Then did a paint sample ,effect sample for local dude here in town, dude would not trust the idea ,but was happy with the sample. And crap i did 2 more jobs just not sure what happen to pixes. if i find them just gonna slap it to this post.
If u look closely on the green fender close up ,you will see the texture behind the flame/slimes, its more like illusion effect with little bit marble. It makes the flame/slime to float over the fender with little shadow. I shouldnt take it on the grassy background, kind of hard to see.
The second one , xbox … speaks for itself.
New shop location
Need some suggestion for the shop location. Im currently in Litchfield , little bit too far from main drag. too slow for me. I dont want to team up with other shops, since conflict of interest might be issue in future. rather stay as a friend heheh. Would love to find building closer to main drag, just not much luck. So im looking into few option : Relocate to one of the towns: Alton,Bethalto or Edwardsville.Try to find building around Litchfield or Hillsboro main drag. Or find someone here in town close to main traffic and slap few giant SIGNS. Dont know , what to do!!!! hahaha Im hungry for more work!!!!

This is funny. Friend in town drop it of just to shoot some black base over it to match the Monster drink popup tent they own. U cant bring zhit like this to my shop and expect 2 coats of solid paint with not funky graphic or artwork. So its painted in monster drink theme It was fun:) Hope they like it
Time is flying tooo fast
Seams like lately time is just flying by way tooo fasttttt. For the past 2 weeks i have been working on 2 big projects , the 928 porsche fix and abstract painting for customer. The painting will be here soon , its really on the wild side.I had few little fill in jobs ,super fast quickies at the same time so i cant compline on the fact , im not busy enough. Its been overwelming. Good thing , yeah? Or maybe i should start slaking a little bit..? hahah.Anyway few pictures of tiny jobs done recently:
XBOX 360 Lost Planet 2 Custom paint
Ok here is another small job i just recently did. I was asked to paint specific theme of Lost Planet 2 game on this xbox. At the time of painting ,game was not available yet, and very minimal reference resources (screen shots, photos ect…). So we based it on whatever we could find !!heheh. Anyway , Spies Hecker paints ,some home brewed pearls/ sparkly stuff and my favorite ms42 clear.

Shop overtake
My shop was terrorized by some crazy painter in past 2 days.Paint splashed everywhere, flying paint brushes and giant corn field with some
uncle Joe barn hanging across the whole shop… Well it was little less dramatic:) It was fun project, she did excellent job, i had little little change in my typical work and good company
If u happen to run into this giant canvas ,make sure u explore the wheelbarrow( whatever this thing is called..) for unique choice o…f plants…. Well done Sara!
John Deere 4020 panels
Here is another one of the what i call it “funny jobs” .Its simple , looks easy ,but its actually little time consuming to paint. The lettering had to be perfect , and because the font is so unusual all had to be done via the old school tricks. It did turn great .Owner was really happy , as well as me. It was fun, would not mind to paint another set of numbers again!!!!

BDK The sign ,logo is done. pinstriping, little bit of airbrush work and topped with clear. Picture was taken before clear coating. It was a little bitch , looks simple but lots of goofy work. Glad is over hahaha!! No ,honestly was fun. Billy , come and get that damn thing out my shop!!!!
New Site
Things are little bit on the slow side lately. Past two weeks i did only few little quick jobs. One of those jobs where u f.. around a lot. But its all good. I had some health issues to deal with , and slower work flow helped a bit to unload the stress. Well im trying to get my new website done. Still working on the theme, will be up and running very soon. Keep you eyes open for new site. I will continue to use this blog.

Weekend is over
Happy weekend is over. Back to happy paradise on monday. Actually i did some work this weekend. Got Porsche 928 here for little bit of troubleshooting and few interior touchups.So did work on it little bit. Small pinstripe job on goldwing. O yeah , here is the funny summary of the weekend. Local bike shop in town had ” customer appreciation weekend”, bunch of goldwing guys stuff. Lots of ppl , vendors, bikes, u know the deal. So i went to talk to the Brad, (one of the owners of bike shop) if would be ok with him for me to walk around the place with my brushes and do few freebies. I thought that would be great expo for my little business and in the same time shops like mine or his could both benefit from it . Well in the worst case its nice to see helping each other It wasn’t the case. Brad give me big no no !!I didnt even got the chance to explain myself and fully introduce. I dont get it , like im gonna take work from his painters??? hahaha. I had good gigle time, that for sure . Yeah i have seen bunch of pinstriped goldwings , they all look almost the same,except the base colors… Im thinking he might be scared of creativity or fresh ideas? Come on happy goldwing riders , bring them on ! We can nail anything you ask for! even same thing that your neighbor honda got painted.

Another week that SUCKS!!!
I think im gonna give up , shit is just out of control. I have been busting my azz burning midnight oil to keep up with work for past few months, and now when im on schedule i might have a visit on surgical table. Its gonna set things way back… Today i was supposed to start on new job. So when the dude came over to drop the truck and i kind of explained him the scenario. He got all pissed and decided to pass on it. All i told him ” Hey give me 2 days and will get back with u , i need to find out whats going on with me , dont want to start this job and had this truck sitting here for few weeks…. ” His happy answer was” F..it i just pass on it ” ?!?! WTF!?!?! I dont get it . Pll are azzholes sometimes, its not like i dont want to make any $$$ , I need to me $$$ , i need work , i love what im doing , just dont want to risk something that will set me even more back. dude just dont get it . I called everyone who was schedule for this and next week ( all the tiny small jobs) just let them know the situation. They are all cool except this one ahole with the truck @!!
Ford F350 2 tone custom paint job
I suck. I cant take decent shots ,i wasted too much time with my junk camera trying to snap killer picture. My camera and I suck. Gonna save few buck and get something decent. For now here is short vid of the project. Not the best video out there , but will give some idea.Total repaint, We toned with black roof hood , side panels on silver background. Artwork was strictly based on customer request. hand pinstripe all around with some happy graphic and flames like mural on the sides. Ron the owner forced me to tone down the flames .I left little bit of original look one the rear flares. Every thing else received extra coat of red candy. Hahaha. He wanted MORE RED!!! and i was like ” DUDE , ITS F#$%N RED already!!!

another quickie:)
I have been working on f350 paint for the past 3~4 weeks and was nice to take few little brakes from it. I cranked this helmet during one of those happy brakes. Its quick and easy. Scuff it, shoot silver base color, then some lime green over the whole thing, with some candy green shades few light flames( its had to see them on the pic), Club logo and clear. I did few other small jobs like thins on my brakes , just for some reason didnt think about taking pictures .lol. Next time will remember.
